Honey Ryder was the first ever ‘Bond Girl’ from 1962’s ‘Dr. No’. It’s also the title of the new single from Philadelphia trio Total Rubbish.
Sulty and confident, ‘Honey Ryder’ is a song full of swagger. The fuzzy guitars create a wall of sound on a track with a psychedelic nod that reminds of acts like Death Valley Girls, L.A. Witch etc. The vocals are cool and sassy, giving off a ‘don’t fuck with me’ vibe, which all adds up to make for a great listen.
