20 For 20 is a new feature where I look back at 20 of my favourite things that has happened in the music world in 2020.
Coventry/Birmingham quartet Five O Fives became the most recent addition to the Indie Midlands roster of artists, joining The Sunset Beach Hut, SPIT & Graywave. Such is the situation with Covid-19 however that I’ve not actually been able to see the band live yet, indeed I’ve only actually met one of them, the singer Alice, and even that was on just one occasion.
We have been able to work together on their recent debut single ‘Through The Darkness’ though and second single ‘Something To Do’ will be out on January 22nd. Gigs are also lined up, Covid permitting, so 2021 should see Five O Fives begin to grow and make a name for themselves locally in the early part of the new year.
Five O Fives are scheduled to support Graywave at Dead Wax on January 10th. Two thirds of the tickets have already gone for this socially-distanced show, so grab your ticket here! Full refunds will be given should we remain in Tier 2 and the show can’t go ahead.
