EGO DIVE – One Moment

EGO DIVE

‘One Moment’ is the debut single by EGO DIVE, the project of Coventry-based musician Richard Wilson.

‘One Moment’ is a melancholic track full of atmosphere. Whilst the vocals are neat and the lyrics of the song deal with how we are all falling foul to the reliance of a digital generation, it’s a track that would work just as well as an instrumental, such is the relaxing, lush vibes it gives out. From the heart grabbing lead guitar hook, to the soft beats, to the nostalgic 80’s electronic sax sound. For a debut single it hints of great promise.

Talking about the track Wilson had the following to say:

“The song is inspired from the solitary spaces we find ourselves in currently. It takes a look at how people are showing their true colours and how we are becoming ever more reliant on digital devices. This is one of those songs where the words came straight out and reflected the current mood of the world. The song also has a sense of judgement of how people are reacting to the world, but also a sense of hypocrisy with the struggle on how to act ourselves. An emotive vocal melody takes lead in the track, accompanied by a melodic, slow paced instrumental”.
