After releasing the single “Going Nowhere Fast” in February (which yours truly had the pleasure of reviewing mid March), Wolverhampton singer/songwriter Alex Ohm is returning with a brand new song entitled “Hours”. Taken from his upcoming EP, “Hours” is a charity single aiming to collect money for MIND, an organization helping to fund mental health services.
“The Corona pandemic is having a huge impact on people’s mental health and Mind is a charity that provides a wide range of support for children and adults struggling with these issues” says Alex. “It’s important to remember that not everybody is lucky enough to have support from family or a good circle of friends to talk to. It is essential to help these services anyway we can and I hope that what I am doing will provide people with the support that they need”.
Besides supporting a noble cause, “Hours” is yet another fantastic release proving that Alex Ohm has absolutely no competition in West Midlands in his genre. The song is a BBC radio producer’s dream come true – it has mid tempo beat, thoughtful lyrics, crisp production and a good story to tell.
“Hours” will be available for streaming on 28th of May.
